Add value to the chain

With the globalization, we are specializing our economies, that is OK, but the problem is that we concentrate into sectors that don't add value to the chain.

We made a lot of money when things went right and we made very nice bubbles, but...
What value is a stock broker adding to a company? What is Wall-Mart or Tesco adding to the chain?

They sell and buy goods, but that doesn't add any value to the product.

Less developed countries are focused on products. They let us sell these products and make money, but that is changing...that is where all this crisis comes from.

Less developed countries were learning from us and now they now how to play the game.

What is an empty economy then?

You can imagine. When you have nothing of your own, the product is made by someone else and you only have The Brand, then you are lost as a company and also as a Country that is focused on Brands.

What is a Brand? Do you remember any brand from the Roman Empire?

We are selling smoke and sooner or later, the rest of the world realizes that.

All the companies that used to work for us as slaves, realize they have the power. They have the product and they know how to make more of it.

With our open markets, they just have to go to a merchant with the product, made in the same factory but cheaper than the one with a brand and the merchant will buy it.

They don't have "The Brand" but soon and without investing much, those companies also have a Brand , and then you are really lost without factories and without brands.

I have read too many things about the cause of the crisis we live in today: It is because of the greed, the financial system, the mortgages people can't afford, confidence...

You know what? It is rubbish

When we recover all the confidence that we have lost in the last years, we will be following the same path to the next crisis.

FED, BoE and the rest, will increase the interest rates and we will come to a new crisis again or they will do nothing and we will have a Japanese Crisis

And do you know why?

That is because nothing has changed. People is making money the same way they did before (buying and selling goods without adding any value to it), investing in the same companies and doing the same things that lead us to this crisis.

We don't realize that our economy has a headache because we are not doing things right. We get aspirines and we think it will get us better, but that is not going to the cause of the problem.

Let's go back to basics.

When I was younger, I used to study that agriculture and industry were basic for a healthy economy. We had people planting seeds, people working in factories (and of course, people working in banks) and all that people got a salary or a compensation for doing something that added value.
